The latest Windows 11 update already supports the installation of apps from the Google Play Store. The process is simple and here we show you the ways to do it.

Over the years we have seen how the new generations of the Windows operating system have tried to centralize the downloads of applications and programs through their own Microsoft Store to avoid bad experiences for users.
The store has been strengthened in content to offer a multitude of games, utilities, productivity applications, and much more as part of its online store. However, other game stores like Valve’s Steam or Epic Games Store have offered games that Microsoft didn’t have.
Now, with the arrival of Windows 11, Microsoft announced that users of PCs and laptops could take advantage of mobile applications, specifically the thousands of apps developed for Android devices.
Until now, this was only possible using system emulators such as BlueStacks, and not always guarantee good results. With the successive updates of Windows 11, this is already possible and we tell you how you can do it.
How do I install Android apps on Windows 11?
Until recently, Microsoft had not yet enabled this possibility of installing native Android applications on Windows 11 computers, so the installation of Android applications was complicated.
Now, with the latest version released, this has changed significantly, since it now allows users the possibility to install and use some Android apps on the PC. However, this is only the beginning, since the offer of apps is still very limited.

To use the mobile apps on your Windows 11 PC, you must install the Amazon Appstore from the Microsoft Store. Once you have it set up, you’ll be able to search and install Android mobile apps from a selected catalog.
The app itself seems to take care of all the background work. You should see a short home screen appear, notifying that your PC is setting up the necessary virtualization features and then downloading the files.
Once the download and installation process is complete, you’ll need to log in to your Amazon account or sign up for one if you haven’t already. (This doesn’t mean you should subscribe to Prime or any Amazon service.)
After completing this step, you can open the Appstore and select one of the third-party apps offered by Amazon. Installation is as simple as clicking on it to install.
Each app will appear in your app list and you can pin it to the app shortcut list in the Start menu. Most apps appear in portrait format, looking the same as they would on an Android smartphone.
At the moment, the quantity and quality of the games leave much to be desired. Most are what we would normally call crapware, as is the case with titles like ‘Lords Mobile, My Talking Tom, Matchington Mansion, etc.
So far, Microsoft claims to have a library of just over a thousand apps and games available on Amazon’s Appstore. The company’s plans are to continue homologating titles of great interest to users of its operating system.
What configuration requirements do I need to meet?
Normally, if your computer is compatible with Windows 11, it has many ballots that you can install Android applications on your computer. The requirements that Microsoft marks on its website are the following:
- 8th generation Intel Core i3 processor, AMD Ryzen 3000 or Snapdragon 8c
