Apple’s first virtual event of the year arrives, in which a new iPhone SE 5G, an improved iPad Air, and even a redesigned Mac mini could be presented.

Apple’s first major event of 2022 will take place today. The company confirmed a few days ago that its Peek performance event would be held this Tuesday, March 8.
It seems very likely that we will see for the first time the iPhone SE 3 with 5G, an updated iPad Air, and possibly even a redesigned Mac mini with the same chips as the new MacBook Pro range (M1 Pro and M1 Max).
It will be an exciting event for Apple fans and, as usual, you can follow it from the comfort of your home.
When does the event start and how can you watch it live? Here’s everything you need to know about Apple’s upcoming event.
When is Apple’s next event?
As confirmed by the company, the next Apple event will take place today Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 10:00 local time, that is, when in Spain it is 7:00 p.m.; 12:00 in Mexico; 13:00 in Colombia, and 15:00 in Argentina and Chile.
As always, the event will be broadcast from California’s Apple Park, though it’s likely to be a pre-recorded event like most recent Apple events.
How to watch the next Apple live event?
As with any other Apple event, you’ll be able to see the ads live and live. Although previously it was required to use Safari or an Apple product to watch the broadcasts, that is no longer the case and you can watch it from virtually any device from their website.
You can follow the March event through Apple’s events page, as well as in the Apple TV app on your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Mac. You’ll also be able to follow the ads from Apple’s YouTube channel, which we’ve included here.
What to expect from Apple’s March 2022 event?
Although Apple does not anticipate too many things about what it will announce at its events, there are several rumors and speculations circulating that do offer us an idea about what the company has planned.
The protagonist of the event is expected to be the new iPhone SE, the replacement for the cheapest iPhone currently. Although some rumors pointed to the iPhone SE having a similar design to the iPhone X, it looks like that will come with the next generation within a few years.
It’s not all bad news, though. Despite being a cheap smartphone, it is rumored that it will have features of a flagship such as 5G connectivity and the same A15 Bionic as the iPhone 13 family.
But what else to expect? It is believed that Apple will also present the fifth generation of the iPad Air. Although a major redesign is not expected, the new model should have other key features such as 5G connectivity (optional) and a camera with a Centered Framing function.
Apple is also rumored to introduce a new Mac mini with the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips that debuted in the latest range of MacBooks Pro. What’s more, it would have a new design, with a thinner casing and a methacrylate top. If true, it would be the Mac mini’s first visual change in quite some time.
There’s also a chance that Apple will advance something about the rumored AR and VR headsets, but it’s unlikely, as current rumors point to them coming with 2022’s WWDC at the earliest.
